The nose isn’t just that organ you breathe through, but it’s in the middle of your face which makes it control a big part of how your face looks, thus making you either happy or not about your face.
There is always a way for you to get your preferred shape with Axera’s team through rhinoplasty surgeries. There are so many types of Rhinoplasty surgeries, For example : open rhinoplasty, closed rhinoplasty, tip rhinoplasty, septorhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty and liquid rhinoplasty.
It’s important to know what to expect during a rhinoplasty surgery, here are the general steps that your procedure shall go through :
1- Preparing the plan
This is the very first step that will be done. Surgical planning will be done to consider every detail of your procedure, based on the info & preferences you will provide. This plan ensures that the final result of rhinoplasty surgery will be harmonic with the rest of the face and doesn’t disturb its balance.
The surgeon will use either open rhinoplasty technique or the closed one. The surgeon will choose the technique and also the type of anesthesia in consultation with the patient. The surgeon’s goal will be to achieve maximum improvement with the least invasive manner.
2- Anesthesia Phase
As soon as you get into the operating room, an anesthesiologist or a registered anesthetist nurse. They might stay in the room while the procedure is done to monitor your response.
3- The surgery
After anesthesia is done successfully, the surgeon shall proceed in the surgery itself. The surgeon will start by placing small incisions along the columella and inside the nostrils if it’s done with open rhinoplasty technique. If the used technique is closed rhinoplasty, then only the incisions in the nostrils will be placed to perform the procedure.
Based on the predetermined surgical plan, your surgeon will likely readjust the bone, remove, add or modify tissue or cartilage. If you are getting closed rhinoplasty, the internal incisions will leave no visible scarring.
4- Wound Closure
This is the final step of surgical intervention. After completing the reshaping procedure, the surgeon will close the incisions with removable or dissolvable sutures. In some cases, a temporary drain tube and nasal packing or a splint might be needed.
After this, you will get some recommendations for your healing phase and that’s it!
You can enjoy that new attractive shape of your nose.
